Now that summer weather is here, I am so inspired to start eating healthier and buying fresh, local produce! Here you'll find all my fridge and pantry staples for my high carb low fat vegan diet that I am eating to clear my acne. I am avoiding foods that are high in fat such as nuts, seeds, avocado, and soy products as these break me (and many others) out! So here is what I do eat!

STARCHES
-brown rice
-brown rice pasta
-oats
-buckwheat flakes or groats
-quinoa
-potato
-sweet potato
-flours: rice flour, quinoa flour, buckwheat flour
-corn
PROTEINS -canned or dried chickpeas
-canned or dried lentils
-beans: black beans, kidney beans, pinto beans
-nutritional yeast
-lentil pasta
-vegan protein powder
-chickpea flour
FRUITS AND VEGGIES -bananas
-berries: strawberries, blueberries, raspberries
-mango
-apples
-kiwi
-leafy greens!!!! spinach, kale, mesclun mix

-pineapple *buy a full pineapple, chop it up and freeze it yourself- include the core as it contains bromelain, a digestive enzyme with anti-inflammatory properties!
